Dog doctor

If, in spite of care, one of the dogs should die, Dogdoctor Smith has a cemetery handy. Near the hospital, 438 dead dogs already lie in neat graves covered with vines and freshly cut flowers.

Lady Lewis sits crying in her room over the dog, & occasionally takes it out for strolls in the garden where it yelps like any other cur. She says with tears in her eyes that she fears Malvern air is too strong for it after London. Gorgo hopes the dogdoctor will order change of scene & a less bracing atmosphere.

Off to the dogdoctor later to get my booster vaccination shots. Gonna need treats. Lots of treats.
